im not sure if this is the right thread to post this in but got a 90, 2 door XJ, 4.0L and it stalled, waited a day then it started right away. then it stalled again waited 20mins and started again then stalled again and now only fires for a second and stalls what could this be?? the TPS or crank sensor??? if so where are they located?? all help is highly appreciated

Thanks Steve.

i had a simmilar issue... check to make sure that the fuel pump is working correctly.... i had to replace mine, and it solved all...

You need to determine if it's a spark or fuel problem. During the time it won't start, check for fuel pressure and spark.

having said that, it sounds more like a fuel problem. Have you tried holding the throttle open a bit when you crank it?
