So I noticed a plug coming off the wiring harness today that didn't connect to
anything. I couldnt find anything around that was missing a plug so I dunno....
96 classic auto

Looks like the connector to the under hood light. Do you have one of those?

Probably broke and fell off. Both our '96s are that way.

Hmmm would factory still have wire there even if no light?
I still have the heat shroud attached to under side of the hood and no signs of a light having been there :dunno:

The main harnesses are (usually) not option-specific. Simplifies inventory/assembly. And yeah, that's the connector for the light.

it looks just like my under hood lights connector also
