SLIDERS

Has anyone ever just bent up some 3/16 to wrap from the back of the frame to the bottom of the door? I am going to be doing this soon, I plan on using countersunk hardware, and possibly welding some tube to the outside edge to keep trees and rocks away. What do you think? uke:

The pinch seam under the rocker will make that difficult.
