Limited Slip Differential

How can I tell if I have a limited slip differential? I'll be changing my differential fluid this weekend and need to know if I should add friction modifier.

'88 XJ, I6, AW4, NP242, D30 front, D35C rear

Jack the rear end up, make sure the front is blocked.
spin one tire and watch the other.
if the other tire spins the opposite direction it's open.
