Lockwood/Miller Jeep Trail 06/05/10

We went on a spur of the moment outing yesterday to scout out the trail. In hindsight, the trip was a bit longer than I would have liked for "just an afternoon", but it was an interesting ride with lots of great views. Too bad that so much of the area burned down, it must have been beautiful with all the trees intact.

Would love to do it again soon, but as a weekend outing, camping somewhere overnight.

Nope, just someone we came across. We went solo.

The vehicle wasn't parked in the stream though, just right next to the water where the trail makes a sharp turn uphill.

Isn't it lovely? I didn't think there would still be any poppies around! :)
 
Glad to see its open... hopefully it still is in December.
