MJ and XJ Drive shaft question

Current dilema:
Dropped the new motor/tranny/t-case into the heep and am using the longest ZJ front driveshaft I could find but it's maxed out just sitting in the driveway and there's no way it's long enough for trail duty.

So my thought was to use an MJ driveshaft and add a splined end and slip to it. Un forunetly I don't have an MJ shaft to measure the diameter and compare it to a stock XJ rear shaft (donor for the splined end).

Anyone able to provide some dimensions for me?

ok what kind of mj, longbed or shortbed, auto/manual. trans? i have a 88 shortbed w/4.0L, NP231, 5speed if you need sum numbers? how much of a lift you running?

Not a stock motor/tranny/t-case therefore not really important.

Basically just need the MJ drive shaft diameter at this point.
