One of 's members, Joe (welldone) had been severely injured and burned during his service in Iraq as a K-9 handler. His dog was killed during the incident as well.
Joe is one helluva guy in spite of it all. He has the best attitude and an awesome sense of humor! He's a blast to hang out with and he's really passionate about his XJ and trail runs. He's also been working with the Army helping other injured Vets obtain the medical services they need after being injured during their service.
Joe has a great, supportive wife and young son and they no doubt are his primary concern in his daily life. Understandably, he doesn't have a whole lot of time or funds to do what he'd like with his XJ. His injuries also don't allow him to do much of the heavy work on his rig.
So, in cooperation with the generous guys at Alcan Spring, I was able to get a set of BIGoffroad 4" FlexE leaf packs to Joe at no cost to him. They were installed - appropriately - this Memorial Day weekend by some of his CO Springs friends!
Thanks Joe for your service, and your personal sacrifice. atriot:
