Will this code reader will work with my 00 XJ?

Basically I'm looking to get the cheapest code reader I can find that will tell me codes and clear them. I'm not using this for a business, so I don't need something from snap on or mac.

I just found one thats a little better for an extra $10 it will do cars newer than 2004 also.

Equus or Actron build good code readers for about the same money as the cheapest one you can find on ebay.

Try searching for those on amazon

Be very careful about code readers on ebay. Some are 100% fake. I bought one, and it couldn't even pick up a single code. It said it was connecting, but wouldn't read a code from any vehicle I tried it on.

Advance Auto had their Actron scanners half price last week. I picked up the best one they had which also does CAN and can be upgraded for around $90.

Costco has a small reader as well. For around that price or less. There is also one on thinkgeek.com I believe.
