How to get to the hitch with homebrew bumper?

So I'm in the research stage of designing a homebrew bumper and one thing I would like to integrate is a 2" hitch receiver.

I've looked through numerous threads but haven't found a picture of how to access the hitch pin when hooking up.

Hitch design I'm going for - level with and not dropped down below the bumper like aftermarket hitches:


It looks like the hole for the pin would be inside the bumper so is there an access port on the bottom? Or maybe you have to crawl under and access it from the back of the bumper (side facing the cab)...Any help on how to do this would be appreciated!

My hitch is mounted flush with the bumper but the bumper is only 2 inchs thick so you just reach behind the bumper and put the pin in.
