hi, need some help, my timing chain was loose and mess with my timing, how can i set the right timing before i get the new timing chain, i have a 86 xj 2.8L
yessa thats the ticket :yelclap: also you can find the mark on the crank pulley and align it with the timing tab that is on the timing chain cover. make sure number one cylinder is at the top of its stroke.then all you have to do is point the rotor button at the number one piston and you should be good to go. its been awhile since ive had to do it but there is some good info on this site....just gotta get ur shovel out and dig for it!
