wj booster swap, now no brake lights?

did the wj booster and mc swap,
now it seems i dont have brake lights?
its all plugged in
thing stops alot better
any ideas?
also swapped in zj prop valve,
already converted to rear discs

IMHO, the problem is in the brake switch itself, the one that the pedal contacts. When you did the swap, did you grind down the end of the booster rod where it attached to the pedal assembly? I didn't grind the pushrod down at all (swapped into my 91) and just had to move the switch something like 1/16". Brake lights work great, but my cruise control cancels if I hit a large-ish bump or pothole, so I think I need to adjust the switch a little more.

The renix and non-renix Jeeps use different brake light switches, IIRC.

The renix has the brake light switch on the pushrod for the booster while the non-renix is on mount triggered off the brake pedal.

Kastein- I wonder if your brake lights flash on when hitting those bumps?

over2land - haven't determined that yet. Need to have a friend follow me as I go over bumps and see if they do, or clip a test light onto the wire for the brake lights and go for a drive.

91 is just one switch, isn't it?

yeah, it's got several sets of contacts in it though. At least four or maybe six wires coming out of the switch, I forget.
