i nee to replace the cylinder but i cant figure out how to get the old one out and the ears broke off,
btw this is an 87 mj 4.0 manual, so it has the gm column

remove turn signal switch

insert the key and turn to the on position

remove the buzzer contacts with needle nose pliers

remove the lock cylinder retainer screw (if it has one)

inside teh column u should see a slot next to the screw boss. stick a small screwdriver in there and press the spring latch at the bottom of the slot

with that pressed and the key still in the on possition, pull out the lock cylinder.

hope that helps:)
