i dont see how that can be an electrical problem.
if he means that it wont shift off first then i'll bet on the TPS. :wave:

that doesn't really look like a 96... I don't think you could get any chrome that year. And $2000 seems like too much for a 2wd XJ with problems and some body damage.

i remember having seen a couple aw4's that when put in drive, would take off in 2nd, but could get 1st if you pulled the shifter all the way down. i can't recall any solutions, only that i've seen that before. it's an aw4, how serious could it be? :repair:
