SYE

im going to install an sye into my xj but dont whether i should go with tom woods sye or jb conversions. let me know what you think

Tom woods builds a really good shaft. A stock Xj front shaft will work on the SYE, depending on what brand, you may have to change the flange..

i was under the impression that tom woods doesn't actually make SYEs but teams up with AA (advance adapters) for SYE kits. and JB conv is still separate. correct me if im wrong guys.

I have no experience with JB but I just installed a Tom Woods SYE into my 242 transfer box and all went well for me. I measured carefully using their instructions and I also used an angle finder to give them the drive shaft, transfer case, and rear pinion angles. They told me what angle shims I needed. No vibes and it all works well so far. (4 inch lift on a 99) Good external snap ring pliers with the flat tips are a must!!!

AA or JB Conv,you cant gp wrong with either!

Most all of these SYE kits are virtually identical, go with the one that has the best price.
