Rough Idle

After my transmission cooler line breaking and having tranny fluid all in my engine bay due to the electric fan and nearly overheating, I start my XJ up and the idle is rough even after warming up to 200 degrees.

Anything that I should look for that might be wet or damaged due to tranny fluid spewing everywhere? Any other suggestions

You probably have trans fluid in a connector or two. Get a couple cans of aerosol electrical contact cleaner, a large tube of dielectric grease, roll up your sleeves and start pulling apart, cleaning, and treating with dielectric grease all of the connections you can find under the hood.

The distributor cap and throttle position sensor are particularly susceptible to intrusion of fluids.
