Lighting problem

The black ground wires from my lights got cut in half. I cut off the broken parts stripped new parts of the wire and reconnected the two pieces by using the small tube connectors with metal on the inside and you clamp it down. The switch lights up and the fuse is not broken. What are I over looking? Am I going to have to replace?

Lights are very basic electrical systems. You need 3 things for them to work. Intact bulb, power, ground. What's missing?

Exactly!

Find the missing element.

And next time, share details with the rest of the kids--which lights?
