Rear main seal replacment question

I replaced mine around 115,000-120,000 miles and i am at 183,000 miles now and I'm pretty sure it is leaking again. I replaced the oil filter housing seal not long after the rear main seal and I just recently replaced the valve cover seal. My question is how many times has the rest of you had to replace the rear main seal? I figured I would have to replace it again at some point but not this soon.

I would say it is more likely that those o-rings in your OFA housing are worn out again. A RMS should last you quite a while, 100k miles...?

What kind of oil are you running? Did you do a double-lip RMS the last time you did it?

63,000 miles is soon? That sounds like about 4-5 years of driving, ya?

I've got 110K on my last RMS.

I now have 235K on the XJ. The MJ has not seen many miles on my watch but it's dry down there.
