Trimming past the pinch seam

Who has trimmed past the pinch seam and sealed it back up successfully. I need a little bit more room for my rear tires to go. I want to trim up past the seam just looking for some ideas first before I get to cutting again. I'm caged so I'm not to worried about about the whole integrity thing with the unibody.

Plenty have done it, but you better be good at welding sheet metal. Then just use seam sealer to make sure it's water tight.

Why don't you bumpstop to keep the tires from coming up into the fenders?
