if an axle has an aftermarket full locker put into it, does the locker block the ability to see any of the ring or pinion teeth? (i.e to count the number of teeth so to double check the gear ratio)

thanks i just wanted to make sure. i was just looking through CRASH's gear ratio thread and he says they didnt make dana30 5.13s back then. does anyone make them now? google results said they only fit the 2007+ JK D30:dunno:

your pinion will be TIIINNNNYYY if you go 5.13s. it just doesnt seem like a good idea

ive got a line on a D44 that already has 5.13s in it, plus i plan to be running 35s and still cruise it on the street (lots of hills and such in my area). id like to retain the HP dana 30 ive already got and match the gears with whatever i end up putting in the rear

arent the older dana 30s for our xjs all considered HP30's? (yeah i know it switches to LP in '00 or whatever)
