i know that there is about a 3/4" difference in the driveline length but is there a difference between 35 and the 44.:huh:

Iam putting this axle in this week end and need to know if it is greater than that of the 8.25axle.

if your asking if its better than the 8.25, then no. but ill trade you one for the 44. i dont mind the down grade. i could use some cash, you add of course.

the way i read it, the op is asking if the d44s pinion shaft is longer than an 8.25. the d35 is shorter and when swapping out to a d44 from d35, the drivshaft will possibly be too long. its only 3/4 of an inch, but could be enough to cause problems. when swaping from an 8.25 to a d44, i believe they are the same. but dont quote me on that.
