UpCountry lift?

My friend bought a 95 XJ for about $700 and the guy who sold it said it had a "factory lift", but it looks more than the 1" that an Upcountry would have.

He also said it looks like it has a SYE (Do these come stock?), and does not have a skid plate in the front and everything else that an Upcountry would have.

He wants to know how much lift he has, and what tires he could clear. and what he would have to do to clear 33's or 35's.

Here are some pictures. Currently the jeep has stock sized tires so someone might be able to make a judgment based off of that.

Thanks

no factory SYEs. looks like a 3-4inch. just from looking at the pics quick id say he may be able to run 33s but not have much articulation at all. if he trims the fenders id say 33s would be no problem. it all comes down to how much flex and such you want. i ran 32s on my rig with ~2inch lift and trimmed fenders. on my fathers xj were gonna run 31s on ~3.5in and retain stock flares

factory lift....hahahaha
oh well, for $700 you've probably got more important things to be worried about from this dishonest seller

Some dealer have a third party offroad shop installing lifts onto the vehicles before thay are sold to there customers. So it can very will be an dealer lifted jeep.

As for the SYE just look under the jeep
