help I'D ing a set of axles

Heres whats on the inside
10/4/88 DANA D 42725 P2D8 39 11
And a hand stamped 378...what does it mean?
 
39 11 means the ring gear has 39 teeth and the pinion has 11.

do the math for the ratio 39/11 = 3.54

other numbers, dont know
 
thanks, just read sticky and doubled checked with a quick google search
 
Hand stamp sounds like a re-gear to 3.73.
