For a few weeks now my jeep has been having trouble starting. It will only start if i give it some gas while im turning the key, and once I have it started it will die once i let go of the gas. After I keep my foot on the gas for about five minutes it will finally idle, but it idles really low. Do yall think this could be a fuel pump related problem?...btw its a 2000...oops title should stay starting not started.

I would guess the crank position sensor... Does it do it every time, or somewhat intermittant? I'd bet if you replace it the issue will go away.

It will pretty much do it everytime, and its worse when it has been shut off for a long period of time...like when im at school or at night.
