Dash light & "batt" connection

I have 2 questions:
1. How much amperage can the "BATT" terminal in the fuse block(under the dash) handle? I'm planning on tapping into it to power my mini ARB compressor if it can handle the power draw.
2. How the heck do I get the pesky little idiot lamps out of thier sockets? They look like knife type connection but don't seem to want to come out with a staight pull. Maybe I just need a better grip? I'm trying to remove the "ABS" warning light since I no longer have ABS.
Thanks for any help.

Twist and pull?

I would run power from the battery or PDC with an ANL fuse and holder large enough to handle the compressor's load.
