ok, so i disconnected that solenoid and it did not fix the ticking noise :)
As i was doing some research i came upon a guy that said that his torque converter bolts were loose. Do oyou think this could be the problem with my jeep? could that cause a wierd ticking only at low rpm and letting off the gas?

Well, they made "a" noise.

Hard to say if it's the same noise from here.

Easier to pop the cover off and check the bolts.

now im kind of a noob at this but the bolt for the torque converter, all i have to do is pull that little metal shield off that held on with like 6 bolts correct?

Yep, the metal cover right behind the oil pan.

You'll only be able to get one at a time, then turn the crank pulley to get at the next one.

And...

Please always give your specifics, year/engine/trans/etc.

k haha and sorry my jeep is a 2000 cherokee aw4 np231 5.5 re lift

Your getting it!

Not that big a deal for your question, but it can make a large difference on so many other issues.

Seventeen years of production, nearly 3 million made, eight different engine/fuel systems, wiring diagrams--well, you get the picture. :D

Yep, no problema!
