i have a 97' jeep cherokee 4door with just a lil over 100,xxx miles on it runs great but was wondering about my oil temp gauge cause i just really doesn work not shure if it ever did it usally is at 0 for the most part might go up a lil once in a while when driving but i dont quite know what would cause this any suggestions plz help

Do you mean "oil pressure" or do you mean "coolant temp" gauge? We gotta get that straight first.....

First place to look for problems with either of those is the sending unit. For the oil pressure gauge, it's right by the oil filter. For the coolant temp gauge, the sender on a 97 is right on the thermostat housing.
