Ignitian problem

Hi peoples..
I have a problems with my faclift XJ now..
the other day my dad took it out, when the turned it off the whole ignitian barrel came out with the key..
now we had this problem on our Grand Jeep, and we just put it back in and jobs a goodun..
thing is after putting it back in again and tunring the key, it wont start..the steering lock goes off so i can turn it, just wont start...
could this be an immobaliser problem?

Could be the remote rod from the key cylinder to the ignition switch at the foot of the steering column has become dislodged, so turning the key does not effect the ignition switch.
 
You are going to have to pull the covers off the steering column so you can access the ignition switch and see if the remote rod is connected. May also have to pull the steering wheel an make sure things are working properly from the key cylinder end.
