Water in Tcase

Im rebuilding a 231 and after I tore into it, There was evidence of water in the case at some point during its life. I am replacing all the bearings and seal in the case. The chain is getting replaced because that is stretched and rusted. If I clean everything up real well, should I be good?

how about diffs?

How long was it like that? Any signs of damage/metal shavings?
I discovered mine like that put some amsoil synthetic crap in there and the case exploded(not exagerated) about a month later.

Alot of people get water in their dif's it's always good to change fluids after taking a swim.

It depends on how long it was in there.

If you are replacing the bearings you should be fine.

Thats what I figured. New bearings, seals and chain
