picking up a D70 guy says it has 4.88's never said anything about a locker, he sent me pics tonight, is this a detroit? he says its late 70's or early 80's

meaning you can get a nice cheap detroit to drop inside the 2-piece carrier, like a 14bolt.

Yep a Detroit for those is just like a lock right, just replaces the spider gears.
