SYE Questions???

i have a 2000 xj with a t case out of a 94 and the PO did a super ghetto sye, from what it looks like they just bolted in the slip yoke and got a drive shaft with a slip in it, so to remove the rear driveline you have to knock the u joint caps out, i want to put the 3103-27CV yoke in and run a cv driveline but i keep reading something about the seal and im confused, can i not just get the yoke and bolt it in, and throw a new seal in in the process, or is the sealing surface on the yoke different and/or smaller in diameter then on the factory yoke? TIA

More research is required. Using a yoke style SYE on a pre 1996 t-case means that you will need a seal flange and seal that will work with your yoke.
