Tire Manufacturers database

Not sure where to put this, but thought here might work.

I have been looking for a way to figure out who makes some of the generic tires.

I came accross this website:

Its data comes from the folwing goverment access database here:
ftp://ftp.nhtsa.dot.gov/Manufacture/

Allowed me to discover the tires at the local farm supply store on sale with their brand on the side come out of the same factory as Firestone destination MTs do. Tread is the same so I figured they did.
