O2 Sensors?

2000 XJ /4.0 /Auto /4WD/ CA emmissions /4 O2 sensors

I am getting the CEL and the code is 0432
looking it up in the FSM on page 25-9 it shows:

Display Discrepancy

1/2 cat conv efficiency 2/1 efficiency below required level


1/2 and 2/1 are different sensors,

could this be a typo or can anyone look in an other than 2000 FSM and tell me what this means.

There are 4 O2 sensors.

1/1 is the front bank upstream, 1/2 front bank downstream, 2/1 rear bank upstream, 2/2 rear bank downstream.

P-0432 is 2/1 Catalytic Converter Efficiency. Most likely be a bad rear bank catalytic converter. The PCM compares the upstream/downstream O2 sensors and determines their efficiency.
