HELP NO WIPERS AND RAIN

ok so the idiot i bought my 1990 cherokee from had a toggle switch on the wipers because he didnt check the fuse to the wipers. i got that fixed and went to reconnect the wires and oh wouldnt you know it he cut the plugs off to wire in the switch. ok found a wiring diagram and hooked up the wires the right way and now the motor is in reverse:helpme: im banging my head now. which two wires can i swap to reverse the polarity of the motor?????? please help and thanks

power and ground for the wiper motor?

What plugs did he cut off, the ones inside the cowl that plug into the wiper itself, the ones going to the intermittent wiper module or the ones coming from the steering column and the wiper switch?
