Good bastard pack. Simple and works

Did a bastard pack on my XJ a while back with no luck finding decent spring clamps. Didnt really want to build them. Guy at work told me to use hose clamps, did that on his V8 S10. So I figured i'd try it and it seems to be holding up well.

Just one of those easy things that might help someone out.

But do they allow the spring to fan?

Bend up a piece of 1/8'' in the vice, drill two holes, and find a bolt. Simple, and not as ghetto.

I like the idea but what holds it from sliding down to the center? I just use the stock type I got from the spring shop but i am losing potential flex cause they're help tight.
