rear limit strap to fix rear s.y. drip? ab

i have a 94 auto/231 with a 1" shckle lift and air over spring helpers. after installing the reccomended shock (rs5129) i've noticed my rear seal is now spraying atf under my xj. i assume this could be due to over extension of the axle due to the rear shock being spec for up to 3" i'd rather not go to a sye, but i've thought out a few diff. fixes, a yoke with better clearance (a yj uses a bit better i think) or a limit strap, or a TC drop. i have no vibe issues. any advice?

You shouldn`t have problems with 3",I am at 6.5" with no problems,I tried for more but it wasn`t working out right with the SY shaft.
