A/C Compressor Replacement

Aside from an OEM compressor, what is a good manufacturer of aftermarket a/c compressors? I need to replace mine.

Do you mean OEM in the sense of going to a dealer for a replacement or do you mean as opposed to Sanden (or whatever brand compressor may be on later models)? I happened to run into this site recently -- don't know anything about them: http://www.jeepair.com. Rockauto has Four Seasons and others but I believe no Sanden.

A quick google will turn up a bunch of options as will a search. I think there is a site "ackits.com" or similar that has a lot of info. I don't think you will gain anything by going to the dealer ....A/C is A/C.

So is Sanden the manufacturer of the factory installed compressor?

Appears Sanden is OEM for many if not all models -- at a quick glance 709T for '93 - '97 at least. Google will give you a bunch of sources.
