1990 ABS RELAY?

Where is the ABS relay on a 1990 and is it ok to remove it?

My ABS is not working but the pump still comes on. I have been searching and all I found was 91+. Thanks.

I *believe* it's going to be up toward the back end of the PDC under the hood, unless 90 is before the PDC was rearranged, in which case I'm not sure - check along the fender walls?

(this is probably wrong, but hopefully it'll prod someone into correcting me :jester:)

NO, it is not ok. The older Bendix brakes use an electric pump, pulling the fuse can cause you to lose braking.

Search around for Bendix brakes. They are common to crap the bed. Look into a grand cherokee booster swap.

Thanks. I am about to add longer brake lines (YJ) and I was wondering if I could disable the ABS first. I do plan to swap to a grand cherokee or later model XJ booster & MC in the future.
