I just installed brand new 4.5" RC leaf packs.. i was using a bastard pack..
but i was getting axle wrap..

The leaf packs are about an inch + taller.. with my MJ shackles i would say im netting about 6"-6.5" lift.. while my front end is at about 5"

im takin it wheelin like this, i plan to load it up with all my gear, hoping that it weighs it down, and then flexing will help soften them up!

is it normal for leafs to be about an inch taller then specified?

I have the same issue with the RE 3.5"
I netted 4" front and over 5.5" rear
About 400 miles so far the rear has settled less than 1/2" inch.
The front has not settle any
I have not placed any weight in the back though.

Yeah my RE packs are the same way, 3.5" with a 1/2" shackle is like 6.5". I'm hoping when it all settles down it'll be around 5". One of my buddies has the RC 4.5" packs though and they settled maybe 1/2" and they sit right about 4.5" now.

lol it's all good.. im a complete idiot..

while gathering up tools, i grabbed my jack.. and then wondered where my jack stands were..

They were holding the body up still

EPIC FAIL! Muahaha

looks good now, sits about 3/4" taller in the rear, should settle out perfect!
