thanks for the links. I think i'll just go talk to the guys at the 4x4 shop and get some that are 4in. longer than stock.....

on my 3.5" lifted rig xj(rear has a 1.5" shackle as well) fox 10's work for me up front, but out back my 10's are way too short for stock mounting.

I believe the fronts need to be 26-27" long when extended.
