1995 longblock to 1998 ?

Can a 91-95 motor (Specifically a 95) be swapped into a 98?

I know the block had a minor re-design in 96, and the heads in 98. However I think the longblock should be a direct bolt-on, and I can use all my 98 accessories.

So, the main question is will the 98 computer / sensors work on the 95 longblock?

I'd like to just swap the longblocks, but I could use the 98 head if necessary on the 95 shortblock

has anybody done this swap, any ideas as to why it would not work?

Yes a 95 motor will work, you just have to swap everything over from the 98 like intake, pulleys, sensors ect. They never really changed the engine, just add structural ribs here and there to strengthen it and of coarse the redesign head/intake/exhaust
