So the plastic console gets really hot to the touch, and it's really uncomfortable. Hot air blows up through the e-brake and it's like being baked alive when it's even 70 outside. (And cold air when it's chilly out and now I don't have a heater) I had a body shop look at some rust to give me an idea of what I was dealing with, and they couldn't give me any ideas on how to get rid of the heat.
Are there an heat shields or tricks to solve the problem? I've got an 84 Ford truck that turns into an oven after the transmission heats up the floor boards, but I'd take hot feet over having hot (or cold) air blowing into my face.
