Weight of MJ???

35 weighs way less than 200lbs for sure. I found a site which claims around 150lbs without brake hardware, and I can pick one up and carry it no sweat so I'd guess 160-170 with brakes.

30 weighs... more than that. With brake hardware or without?

Apparently a full MJ (1992 Eliminator, 4WD, Long Bed) weighs in at around 3300lbs, says edmunds.com. Other trim levels and bed sizes will weigh different amounts obviously.

The reason I'm asking is...

I'm buidling a MJ truggy, and in the rear I want to
run Fox 2.0 Air Shox. They require you to know the sprung weight
of your vehicle. So, weight of the chassis that is suspended
by the shocks doesn't include tires, wheels & axles.

Chassis alone of an MJ must be in the neighborhood of
2600lbs with no axles or wheels. My cab & my bed have been removed... Plus the frame
rails chopped just behind the cab. With this said, my rig is probably
stripped down to 2200lbs. I've added a full cab cage & added a full custom
back half also all tube.

I'm guessing with the tubing weight, front bumper, winch & all the gear I carry with me...
my rig weighs 2700-2800lbs not including my axles or big old tires & H1 wheels.

Fox wants you to measure the weight at each corner,
i'm just going to have to guess because I have no way to
measure this.

Thanks for your help.
