I am working on a 3 link and and trying to decide on a couple things. First off, would 7/8" heims from ruffstuff be enough for the upper? Also would 8" seperation at the axle end be fine?

I can't answer ny of your technical questions, but my Rock Krawler 3 link just uses the stock mounts on the axle end. It uses the driver's side for the upper. So, whatever the separation is there, that works.
