2.8 to 3.4 in 86 xj

I know it's in here some where . Just looking for info on 2.8 to 3.4 engine up grade in 86 xj. It was only idea at 100000 miles.At 200000 it's now become at must. If someone could point it out . I tried the search .Must be me . To much info or not enough ! Thanks for any help.
