If we don't learn from the mistakes of the past we are doomed to repeat them. By the same token, if we don't recognize the bad ideas of the present we are doomed to suffer the consequences. It's always better to accept responsibility for yourself than to give up control to someone else. I wish we could get everyone to see that. Big brother does not have your best interests at heart.
