Engine Swap?

Well my engine gave out and I have never done a swap/know anyone that has. :banghead:

Does anyone know what I need to know before I get one?

I have a 6cyl 4.0 4x4 1990 Cherokee

I would like to go to a H.O.

there are many options, so there would be many questions, you have a renix, if you want to upgrade, you'll need to get of course a more modern engine, but there's also the management system, PCM, harness and such, if a thorough search here doesn't help, try google and follow the naxja links.

It is a REALLY BIG JOB, or a NORMAL SIZE JOB.

Normal size job: Get an HO engine, use all of the Renix sensors, you are just about done.

Really big job: Get an HO engine, the entire wiring harness of the donor vehicle including all sensors, relays, controllers, instrument cluster, fuel pump, fuel rail, etc, etc, etc,.
