89 pioneer - 4.5" lift. stock uppers, new lowers - non adjustable - DD

when i turn the steering wheel, the axle will shift slightly to either side. i turn to the passenger, axle shifts to driver about 1/2". go driver it goes passenger.

suggestions on where to look? i can see the uppers moving with the axle, so going to tighten the bolts or make sure they are tightened. but where to look after that.

trackbar is loose or worn out. the trackbar or panhard bar on a 4 link keeps the axle from moving laterally.

at 4.5", you need an adjustable trackbar.

even though you found the problem, its worth a mention that if you have the stock track bar in there, give the frame side bracket a good check. if you actually wheel, the tie rod end runs out of travel when the passenger side droops and pulls that bracket apart. mine cracked 3 times. it can give you the same problem but is a little harder to track down
