I just rebuilt the 4.0 in my 88 wagoneer limited, it will run but not like it's suppost to, i can't give it any gas it misses while at an idle everything is torqued to specs, the timing is dead on. I can't figure in out:banghead:

Double check your plug wires-correct order and seated at both ends.

x2, and check your fuel pressure. Also, how many volts at the battery static? When running?

During the rebuild did you clean and reinstall the throttle body. Could be a bad or poor connection at the TPS/IAC too.

You could try moving the distributor one tooth in either direction. It did fix a few other peoples problems.
