Compression test results... What to do?

Shoot some oil into #6 and see if it will pump up, or do a leak down test. Rings or valves, with numbers like those I would be thinking overhaul/replacement.

I'd think that without a piston, the crankcase pressure would still register something-- I'm guessing the piston is there and he'll be able to see it without removing anything:spin1:

All of them are low. Guessing #6 has valve problem. I would pull the head, and inspect it all, or just head for the JY and swap the whole thing with a lower mileage engine with better numbers.

Even snake oil won't fix a "0" on #6.

And curiously it was a hole in the piston and a badly mushroomed valve.

Suspicion is a clogged injector caused it to lean out.

Sounds like a leaky head gasket and/or hydrolock.

when I got my Jeep the motor wasn't runnin and it had no compression in cylinder 5. Drained oil, TONs of coolant in it. Also cylinder 5 spark plug was crushed like the piston hit it or something.

I just went ahead and grabbed a new motor and threw it in
