Question is when u have a bad crankshaft position sensor can u still be getting fire to your spark plugs I thought u couldn't I replaced the sensor jeep runs fine again

Different levels of "bad CPS/CKP".

Heat failure, open, shorted, poor signal.

Seems wierd. What were your symptoms? Why did you decide to replace it? If I had spark, I wouldn't. Obviously though, it worked for you. Did it run, but bad, or wouldn't run at all? I'm curious, because I might be where you were and keep telling myself "No way, CKP (CPS, whatever).
